Principal's Message

Dear Cloverdale Families,

Can you believe we’ve made it to the final stretch? This is officially the last week of school, and while the finish line is in sight, we have a jam-packed and exciting few days ahead!

Please keep a close eye on the calendar, as we have a lot of special events to pay attention to this week:

5th Grade Promotion
Family BBQ
End-of-Year Field Trips
Field Day

Before the chaos of summer packing begins, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you. Thank you so much for your incredible help, partnership, and support over this past school year. It has been an absolute privilege and joy to educate, laugh with, and watch your wonderful children grow.

As of Thursday, we officially hand the parenting and teaching baton back off to you!

Wishing you all a safe, relaxing, and incredibly well-earned summer vacation. We look forward to seeing many of you back in the halls this August!

School Information

Meet our new 3rd grade teacher - Tyler Covalt

Hello everyone!

My name is Tyler, and I am incredibly excited to join the Cloverdale Elementary team and become a part of this amazing community. This upcoming school year will be my fourth year teaching, having spent the last three years teaching in the Salem-Keizer district. I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Corban University and my Master’s in K-6 Mathematics from Western Governors University.

When it comes to my teaching philosophy, I love hands-on learning. I firmly believe a classroom should sound like a construction site, not a library!

On a personal note, I have an amazing wife and a 10-month-old daughter named Leia. And yes—I am a huge Star Wars fan, so she is absolutely named after the Princess! When I'm not in the classroom, you can usually find me working out, waterfowl or big game hunting, or spending quality time with my family.

I can't wait to meet you all and get started!

5th Grade Promotion - Mon, June 8th 9:15 - 10:15 AM

Join us as we celebrate our 5th graders and their incredible journey before they take the next big step to middle school. This milestone marks an important chapter in their lives, and we’re excited to share our pride and joy with you!

End of Year ALL SCHOOL Field Trip - Wed. June 10th

All students grades K - 5 will visit Get Air for an end of the year field trip. ParentSquare Permission slip and the online waiver completed directly thru the Get Air website are required for this to happen. Please make sure to complete BOTH so your child doesn't miss out on the fun!

K-2 from 8:30 - 10:30

3-5 from 9:30 - 11:30

Field Day - Thurs. June 11th

Students will enjoy a fun-filled Field Day on June 11th, packed with games, outdoor activities, and friendly competition. It's a great opportunity for kids to celebrate the end of the school year, stay active, and make lasting memories with classmates.

Parents are welcome to join the excitement. If you would like to purchase a lunch, you need to pay $4.95 in advance to Mrs.Shelly no later than June 10th. Once paid, you will receive a lunch ticket for the day!

Lost & Found Reminder

Everything will be on the fence on the last two days of school. PLEASE make sure you come by and check to see if anything might belong to your child!

Medication Pick-Up in Office

Don't forget to come pick up any medication your child may have in the office! This needs to be done no later than the last day of school, Friday, June 12th. Our district nurse will come the following Monday to dispose of any medications left at school.
