Thank you to everyone who voted! The Construction Bond for Cascade Schools that was on Tuesday’s ballot is still very close. Currently, 51.79% of the counted votes are yes votes.
Some mailed ballots have been counted, but there are still some votes left to count. We are waiting for the final vote tallies, but are cautiously optimistic. In this difficult economic climate, we are so grateful for voters who support our amazing students at Cascade!

Our staff help our students in so many ways, and on Monday we honored our Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs)!
They are experts in speech, langauge, voice, and swallowing disorders, and help our students each day.
Thank you Joy Medlock, Julie Peacock, and Wendy Smith!

On Monday, our League Champion Band and Choirs toured our elementary schools!
We are so proud of the hard work our music department is doing here at Cascade!

5th graders at Turner Elementary had an amazing learning (and fun) experience on Tuesday!
It was their "Reach the Beach" day, with multiple parts. It all started with the Seal Rock tidal pools! Why Tuesday? -2.44 low tide at 9:08 am! The trip is planned around the tides.
Next stop was the Oregon Coast Aquarium, with so much to see, do and learn! Then a visit to Ripley's Believe it or Not and the wax museum, and finally the Hatfield Marine Science Center. You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.
So grateful to the Turner Elementary Parent Club for the funds to make this memory-making learning experience possible!

Cascade High School Boys Golf Team finished 3rd in the State!!
After winning league and district titles, they sealed a 3rd place finish at the state tournament out of 16 schools. It was a 2 day event. Here are the boys' finishing ranks for individuals (out of 67 competitors):
- Grant Hemelstrand (attends Crosshill Christian) 4th place
- Garrett Wells 14th. (#1 freshman in 4A)
- Cru Buckendorf 22nd
- Cameron Wilson 34th
- Clark Clayton and Dylan Smith each played 1 day so they didn't rank over the 2 day event, but each of their scores counted toward the team finish.
Congratulations!

What a fun day at Aumsville Elementary with the Bike Rodeo and a family picnic!
Parents came and rode bikes with their kids-some on a big loop around the school, others on the bicycle obstacle course. A beautiful day, and a fun day!

Mr. Slagle’s leadership and Mrs. Buczynski’s AVID classes from Cascade Junior High School, in partnership with the Aumsville Historical Society, visited the Aumsville Cemetery for their annual Memorial Day service project.
Students worked hard to clean up the cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day visitors. It was a beautiful day for students to serve their community in this special way!
