Cascade High School is hosting a Career Fair on April 22nd. The South parking lot near the new gym and weight room will be closed from Tuesday, April 21 through Thursday, April 23 because of equipment being set up. On Career day itself, Wednesday the 22nd, an additional area will be closed, the East side parking lot.
All drop off and pick up for those days will need to be done in front of the high school or at the north parking lot near the old gym. Please DO NOT use the bus loop for drop off.
Thank you, and we apologize for the inconvenience as we provide this great opportunity for our students, as well as students from 9 other area high schools.

Real World Learning at Cascade High School

How do you manage money in life?

Students at Cascade High School experienced "Bite of Reality" this week, a life simulation put on by MAPS Credit Union. Each student got a budget of money, and then had to make their way around the room to different stations where they paid rent and utilities, bought clothes and food, and chose some fun things to buy too.

But just like life, they got surprised by emergencies and unexpected expenses, and had to figure out how to adjust.

This real life learning is part of Mr. Medlock's class, and it took a team to make it all happen. Staff members from the fiscal department and IT volunteered to be part of the stations, and we were able to borrow iPads from the Willamette Education Service District that were needed to run the simulation.

Thanks to MAPS and everyone who made this possible for our students!

A bar graph shows the bond rate per $1,000 of assessed value from 2007 to 2043, with a projected stable rate from 2026 onwards.

Construction Bond would Maintain Tax Rate

With the Bond on the May 19 ballot, the tax rate is expected to maintain at the same rate. And if it passes, it will provide $30 million to bring updates, renovations, and repairs to our buildings. If it passes, we will also receive an additional $10 million from a state OSCIM grant.
