Transfer Information

To Transfer INTO Cascade School District

DISTRICT CLOSED TO TRANSFERS FOR THE 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR

(SUBMISSION DEADLINE for 2024-25 Non-Resident student admission application: MAY 31, 2024)

Before a non-resident student can attend school in the Cascade School District, the student’s resident district must approve the student for “release” to attend in another district.

You may start the process by contacting your resident school district and completing their transfer form. Please note, your resident district is the district you currently reside in, even if you have not attended public school within that district. If your resident school district approves the transfer, they will send confirmation to Cascade. In addition to your resident district paperwork, you will also need to complete this form and return it to our district office: Non-Resident Student Admission Agreement (Spanish Translation ). Once a decision has been made concerning your transfer request, parents will be notified by phone or email with instructions on how to begin the registration process.

All non-resident transfer students must complete the Intent to Renew (Spanish Translation) form when the student advances from elementary to middle school, or middle school to high school.

To Transfer OUT of Cascade School District

Before a student residing in our district can attend a school outside of our district, Cascade must approve the student for “release” to another district. To begin the process, you must fill out this form and return it to our district  office: Interdistrict transfer OUT of CSD (Spanish Translation). If your transfer request is approved we will notify the other district directly. Parents of students requesting transfer will need to contact the other district for further instruction and enrollment.

To Transfer to a different Elementary School WITHIN Cascade School District

If you desire to have your student attend a different elementary school within the Cascade School District than the one assigned to your resident area, you must fill out this form and return it to the district office: Intra-district Student Transfer Request (Spanish Translation) Once a decision has been made concerning your transfer request, parents will be notified by phone or email with instructions on how to begin the registration process.

Mid-School Year Move Out of District

If a student moves out of the Cascade School District boundary during the school year or over the summer and they wish to continue at the school they are currently attending they must complete this Mid School Year Move Form (Spanish Translation) and return it to the District Office. At the end of the school year, the student will need to register in their new District.

If you would like your student to return to Cascade School District for the following school year, you will be required to apply for an Inter-District Transfer (See Transfer INTO Cascade School District instructions above). There are no guarantees for student placement.

Mid-School Year Move requests are contingent upon meeting behavior and attendance expectations and timely transportation is the responsibility of the family.

Contact the District Office if you have questions about Mid-School Year Student moves.
